Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. I agree the program was excellent and filled a niche in the market for individuals and small business below Sage Accounting. I would willingly have paid a monthly or annual subscription to be able to use it and was most surprised that it was available for nothing. I did this by taking the files ILoader. It worked for ma. I am not attempting to load the key for the Professional Version as I think MS have closed the website, thus causing the registration system to hang and hence the difficulty.
When you have a solid gold program why bury it? Having the same issues IMO it BS.. Have purchased the software and no due to needing to reinstall its no good? IMO MS should have at minimum allow valid purchasers there purchased right to use the product I understand its a money grab but If I cant get my Accounting back up im going with another software manufacturer!!!!
I may be able to help but you will need to be able to access your old drive with original program files, or its back up. Then copy into the folder the dll files taken from your old computer or backup. You should then be able to open MS Accounting I have done this but not in time to be able to recover my professional version. Do not make the mistake if you have the basic version operating of trying to upgrade as the MS end no longer responds.
Should you do so and get locked out just recopy the original dll files from the old computer back into this folder. If everything goes belly-up then your fall-back procedure is the to delete the dll files you copied into the folder and change the extension on the "old" files back to dll and you are back whewre you started.
